Sauteed Garlicky Green Beans

These simple and healthy Sauteed Garlicky Green Beans require only 6 ingredients and a few minutes of preparation. This side dish is hard to pass.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb green beans
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • juice 1/2 lemon (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a medium size skillet, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium high heat. Add garlic and onions and cook until tender. 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining tbsp of olive oil and green beans. Saute for about 5-7 minutes or until slightly tender. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Pour in the balsamic vinegar and saute until liquid is evaporated, about 2 minutes. Green beans should be fully coated.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
